Read this, then my comments below - this is from a freerepublic post based on a NYT article:
In his introduction, Mr. McCain said: “By the way: you may figure out from time to time Sarah and I don’t agree on every issue. What do you expect of two mavericks? To agree on everything?’’

And she bore him out on that a couple of times – once [on drilling in ANWR], and again when she suggested that they would be open to pushing for legislation on equality for women in the workforce, which sounded vaguely reminiscent of the equal pay for women bill that he opposed
recently.

WRONG. He opposed a bill that extended the amount of time a person could file, it was not an equal pay bill!! He's for equal pay, however, he felt that extending the time that a person had to file would lead to other issues...........
So for your Dem Fems who oppose him on equal pay, they need to be told the truth - the bill was to extend the 180 days (I think that's correct).
I don't know the details of what it was, but I know what it wasn't, and agree with his saying no to it. It was not an equal pay bill, regardless of what the "other side" says.
I'm 150% for equal pay for equal work myself. I don't car what sex, race, color or even planet you are from. If you do a job and do it as well as the next person and are just as skilled at it, then there should be no difference in pay.
