The election that is tearing the nation apart Empty The election that is tearing the nation apart

As you all know this is my first time voting as well as the first time I ever really paid much attention to the political scene. However, I do know that election time is when people get the most tense, friends find out they really have opposing views and mud is thrown. This, I know, is nothing out of the ordinary.
Perhaps it is just my "noobish-ness" shining through on this one, but it really seems like this election is ripping America's foundation apart at the seams.

I'll start from the beginning: The Democrat party. During the primaries (and I warn you all I did not pay attention to even the republican primaries) it was said that Hillary Clinton won most states, states including Michigan and Florida, and those two weren't counted. Had they been, she would be running right now. There was also something that went on with caucus voting...any Hillary Dems in here that would care to further expand on this please do. Anyway, to get to the point, during the primaries Obama and friends (MSM included) said dirty things about Hillary Clinton, scrutinized her, and then stole the nomination away from her. That alone made 9mil of the 18mil leave their party behind. The democrat party just lost a quarter of their voters.

Now that we are in the actual General Election, it seems that every way you look, people are fighting. Celebrities come out to bash McCain, the MSM as a whole priase Obama their leader and use the dirtiest stories and tactics on Palin. Along with this, you have Ayers that wants to change the American government and tells people to kill their parents, etc. slum lords like Rezco, and Rev. Wright and Father Phleger spewing their hate everywhere. Hell, O's own wife came out and said that she just NOW was proud of America...and it took her husband running for POTUS.
The thought police are working overtime in MO, and probably elsewhere, the economy is doing poorly and the mortgage companies that McCain warned us about in 05 are a big cause of this. Sad part is, HE is getting blamed because he is a republican, and is tagged along with George Bush. Somehow, Obama got a jump in the polls because of this...even though he received more than anyone from Fannie Mae a 4yr. period, and stayed quiet about them the entire time. Huh.
And let us not forget about those kids being indoctrinated in schools, singing about their leader and the jr. high boys that pledge their intelligence to him.
To add insult to injury, the O supporters will call racism if anyone dare question O (despite the fact that it is NOT race), and you know that if that man looses we will see riots through the streets. Count on it.

We no longer have the same democrat party we had in the past, this new one is heavily laced and riddled with socialistic and marxist views. Face it--Soros, Obama, and friends want nothing to do with democracy. They hate this form government-they want to change it. Their supporters, I believe are too dumbfounded to see this..all they see are the handouts they will be getting, or the "D" behind their names. They are looking for something via the government (the government that will only get bigger) These guys fund ACORN, which already is starting the voter fraud and is being investigated right now.

It seems as if this is becoming Old Democratic USA vs. New Socialist USA. Conservatives, Hillary supporters, anyone who stands in Obama's way are immediately silenced, and kids, the ONLY PEOPLE in this country that are truly innocent are being told what to think and believe in.

And, I shutter to see the day where we, the American people are faceless, voiceless, and soulless clones working, not for our dream, not for ourselves, but rather to government. The day where the government tells us what we must do, how much we get paid, and what we can and cannot say or think. The day the burger flipper over at Burger King gets the same pay as the doctor (you know, so it is "fair"). When an innocent person is jailed for a slip of the tongue. If the "Messiah" gets elected, god forbid, we might just see this day.

And I'm sure somewhere an Obot will be blaming Bush for it.

SweetNightmare, take heart. In my life, we somehow managed to survive the Cuban Crisis when Russia had ships off the Florida coast with nukes pointed right at the US, civil rights movement (it had to be done, but it really split up the country), Vietnam protests (Kent State actually started settling it down a bit), Watergate (Nixon was the first President I ever voted for), the Iran Hostage situation, the mess in Bosnia, both wars in Iraq and 9/11. We just need to pray that enough people will wake up enough to realize that we CANNOT allow a Marxist/Socialist Muslim to be voted to the WH.

Have faith. When it comes to the voting both, people will actually vote correctly. It has been my experience that a lot that you watch on the news and on news channels are not close to reality.

We will make it. Just make sure you vote and make sure your friends who are voting for McCain/Palin vote. Just forget about those friends who are following the Obamabots.

Oh, don't get me wrong WA--I am sure McCain will get in. And I and my republican friends will most definitely be at those polls on the 4th. It is just scary that this is happening to begin with, that a guy with strong socialist views (or his puppet masters, rather) is so close to the white house. I have faith that the American people will do what is right on election day. But the fact that we have people in this nation that want to destroy it is sickening really.

Well, I hope that the Democratic Party has learned a lesson. This is no longer the party of FDR.

That pretty much hits the nail on the head for why I will never ever vote for Obama or any other far left politician. Ever. I have very strong personal feelings towards this subject, and people can say what they want, I do not believe this sort of government can work.
