I just voted!!!!
Thanks to early voting in Florida I was able to run down and vote early this morning! It was very organized and I saw no signs of problems. There was an attorney present (not sure which side he belonged to) and many helpful volunteers. The system was a new one, not the electronic voting machines. First, they verified my name/address via a picture ID and printed out a two-page ballot. I was then taken to a booth where I had to (with a black pen), fill out the ovals next to my choices. Once I was done, they again verified my district and then I had to insert my two pages into this machine and finally press "done". Not too complicated I hope for all the Florida idiots that can't seem to follow simple instructions
I got my "I voted today" sticker and placed it on the "Kiss my Lipstick" tank top I was wearing! I felt PROUD!!!

Re: I just voted!!!!
That does sound a little different. It sounds like they're being extra careful about identifying voters. Usually we'd only have to show either our license or our voter card. I'm in Florida, too, but I'm waiting on my absentee ballot to arrive (hate waiting in lines). It's supposed to be here tomorrow.
My mother went to vote today and said the place was packed. She felt sorry for the senior citizens that had to stand there waiting. Our county tends to run Republican anyway, so it's probably a good sign that so many showed up on the first day here.
This is why I wish they'd quit saying there are X number of days until the election. It's going on right now. The people who vote early won't be able to take back those votes if they change their minds next week, so it's time to pull out all the stops right now.

Congratulations. Now you need to work on your children. Every vote counts. 2 reputable polling companies show us leading in FL. I do not put money on the polls but I am confident JM will carry FL...

I'm sitting laughing to myself as I read your message about having voted - and I got an MP3 in my email today, a song titled "Time to Vote Again" to the tune of "On the Road Again".
It's so FUNNY.

LOL ind! I will be working on my girls. I want them to be individuals but I also want them to be informed before they vote. I have faith in Florida that we will deliver a victory for the Big Mac!!
Bill, now you've given me an earwig! I'll be humming that song all night!
