Sing for Change

This video is getting all sort of reviews-all negative. I believe it had the backing of the Obama Campaign or was produced for them. It was on their website, but was scrubbed. Go to this link and you can view the video and a picture of the scrubbed page off of the Obama website. All reviews I read on various sites are negative-even from Obama supporters.

These kids are already being taught to worship Obama as if he were some kind of god. That's what kids in North Korea, Cuba, Saddam Hussein's old Iraq, and other totalitarian regimes were taught to do as well. This video is creepy. Obama cannot escape this even if he has scrubbed it off his website. It is all over the internet and talk shows.

A majority of comments I have read on this are also quite negative. Everyone I show it to is in complete shock.

Now, kids singing about hope, change, ambition...that's great. I did that when I was little and in chorus. There is nothing wrong...as a matter of fact, I promote it. I think it is good that young kids have a great outlook on their future, and enough ambition and glow in their eyes to see good things ahead instead of bad (sadly, by the teenage years-mid 20's some of these ambitious outlooks change drastically)

BUT...What I find worrisome with this is that they have a political figure tagged onto it and that is WRONG. These kids should be learning, laughing, playing, growing. As many adults have no idea of our political system (not to mention this DISGUSTING election season) what makes anyone think that these children are educated on the issues (not to mention his gruesome past ..ie Ayers, Wright, Rezko, etc) as well? Do you think for a second that these kids are paying attention to the war, the economy, the gas prices, etc.? And Hope, Change, prosperity...those are NOT new concepts. This would be totally innocent if they were not promoting a man they have no idea about. They do it because mommy and daddy like him. Hell, when I was 5, I sided with my parents' guy too. Why? I was being a kid! I didn't care about elections then. I just though "Oh, so taht's who you like...he's cool" (Could you blame me?) They are way too innocent to be tarnished with this. They do not understand it, they are being used as tools of exploitation for Obama. (Brainwashing, anyone?)

They showed part of the video on Hannity and Colmes. Colmes was all gushy about it. Hannity said it gave him the creeps. It reminds me of film I have seen of the Hitler Youth.

Did you notice the dopey expressions adults in that video? What is wrong with those people? They look like a bunch of robots.

Update: Last I saw this video, it had 3,795 ratings. That was an hour ago and it was at one and a half star. All ratings are now disabled. (This is also after they got rid of almost all opposing comments)


Go figure.

Obamabots must have attacked it with those auto voters.

You pretty much took stated the two thoughts I had while watching this. The first being, this is so freaking creepy, and the second being... didn't certain fascist leaders use this. I really do think I'm going to have nightmares w/ little children singing to Obama on a throne. Ugh. Atleast everyone sees it for the creepiness that it is.

I couldn't even finish watching the video. It creeped the heck out of me. Maybe they served that wacky kool-aid???
