Ron Paul supporter here
although I am highly inclined to vote 3rd party, picking Mrs. Palin keeps the door open............aaahhhhh, who am I kidding? No way I'm taking any chances of helping Slim Shady, er, Obama, into the Presidency. I'll vote McCain/Palin......with Honor.

Most, it seems, are in favor of voting 3rd party. Barr or the Constitutional Candidate. I've told them about how unsatisfying it was for me when I voted Perot, but most are convinced that there is no difference between Obama and McCAin. That Paul crowd is hardheaded as hell (it takes one to know one, I suppose). NONE of them favor anything about Obama, but refuse the 'least of two evils' rationale. Given how poorly the Bush years worked out using that philosophy, you can't blame them. When they walk into the booth and pull that curtain, I think several of them will not have what it takes to essentially cast 1/2 vote for Obama, which is what the 3rd Party vote will do.

Give them a chance - I think she is part libertarian (sp)
I think they will indeed turn things up-side-down, and that, my friend, will open that door just a bit farther for other parties.
IMO, the 2-party system, where party comes first, even over the people, is where our problem is.
I think if we are patient, and help these two get in, your day will come!

Sarah does have a good libertarian streak, and I know a few other Ron Paul supporters who have recognized it and intend to vote for McCain now, too.
I can't imagine anyone who values libertarianism being complacent about the prospect of an Obama presidency.

I like some of his ideas!
But you are right to vote for Palin/McCain because Ron Paul will not get anything but a token percentage of votes in the election.
And trust me when I say that no one stupid enough to vote for Obama would ever be smart enough to vote for Ron Paul. Sadly he will only bleed off Republican voters.
