and NOW, finally, others are taking note?
I also predicted the bubble would burst on oil over a month ago, and guess what? No one, not a single person in our auto forums with over 1400 members agreed with me, they all argued. And when I proposed that the markets would be a tad higher if not for..... then bashed me, I was full of BS, it was a right-wing extreme view.
But guess what folks - NOW, finally, after I predicted this all weeks ago:

ANOTHER sees my theory as holding water!

MAYBE my friends and peers will see I'm not so crazy. I still don't get why I come up with this weeks ago, and they just now "get a clue".

Investors might not be worrying so much about a Democratic president, given the current one-way state of the polls, as they are about the combo of Obama + Nancy Pelosi + Harry Reid. And you can toss Charlie Rangel and Barney Frank into the mix as well. Recall what Frank said the other day: "Yes, I believe later on, there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of this money." Look for Democrat proposals for a "millionaire's surtax" on top of the higher rates from repeal of the Bush tax cuts in 2009. Or how about this idea to do away with 401(k) plans. Maybe the risk of a deluge of ill-conceived ideas is apparently why, according to my pal Amity Shlaes, split power in D.C. produces an average 9 percent positive return for stocks vs. a negative 8 percent when one party holds Congress and the White House.

I predicted this would happen last year though. End of Bush presidency would bring gas prices down...working on his legacy...also His push for the bailout to go through so quickly...and the sudden talks with Iraq for witdrawl. It happens every time an election comes to an end. Also predicted that the housing bubble would burst at the end of the republican presidency so as to make the democrats look better.

I cannot wait for McCain / Palin to get in there and fix this mess.
