ACORN Files Voting Rights Suit on Behalf of Imaginary-Americans

FBI Investigates Possible Voter Registration Fraud (New Mexico )

The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office said Thursday it has handed over about 1,400 questionable registration cards to the FBI and is cooperating with the investigation.

County officials said that number could go up since forms are still being inputted into the database.

"What we try to do when we get these types of cards is we try to contact the voter," said Bernalillo County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver. "Often it's just an honest mistake."

My original post was a satire, but it's hard to tell these days with how crazy things are.

Would figure coming from Iowa, too.......

I thought it was funny.

But on a serious note, I don't understand why we don't handle voter registration the same way we do drivers' licenses and social security cards. We should be required to go directly to our board of elections to apply for a voter card, rather than allowing some other entity to handle those forms. Why on Earth did we ever allow middle men to sign people up for our elections? That should be illegal. We should have to go to our board of elections and bring real proof of ID, like a social security card or birth certificate.
