Re: hey there!!!
I was also voting for McCain to vote against Obama. However, I really like sarah and I am NOW excited.
I am a moderate democrat andmy party has been hijacked. My friends and family are freaking out that I am voting for a republican.
In a way we have to thank BO for giving us Sarah. If he had picked Hillary I am certain McCain would not have picked Sarah...so, thanks Barack! LOL

Hey There
Long time conservative here who became so impressed with Hillary the way she campaigned the last three months that I had decided to vote for her over McCain.
Since Sarah became the VP pick and Hillary has been trashed by the DNC and the nominating committees of her own party; a switch back to the Republicans was a no brainer choice.
Sarah is so exciting and human; a real honest, unique and human personage that so compliments McCain.

Hey, just registered here. I lean conservative on most issues, but I was actually planning on voting democrat this election because Hilary was such an appealing candidate. A moderate dem just seemed like good business for Washington.
I was disappointed w/ Obama getting the nomination, and wasn't very excited about McCain. But then Palin was announced and after her speech at the RNC I was excited for my party again.

Hello there...
I have been a moderate Republican, or a conservative Democrat, or... ? I dunno... anyway - tend to vote Candidate rather than party - was very lukewarm about McCain - felt like the Republicans didn't have a Candidate to go up against Hillary, then discovered (and was shocked!) that they selected Obama over HRC, even well before the convention - as a Republican, I was thrilled that the Democratic party picked Obama, as I felt he was much more beatable than Hillary would have been... and then I looked at our candidates, and felt really unemotional about the whole thing.
As I got to know a little more about McCain, I started to really like what he stood for. Then he picked Palin - yes, she is a bit farther right than I am, but what an exciting person to throw into the political mix! Suddenly I am excited again about the race! Instead of just wanting to beat Obama, I actually am pulling for McCain/Palin to win! I know, it's crazy... I'll get back to work, now.

Hi, everybody! There's always something very exciting about a brand new forum, GREAT url, btw.
McCain Democrat here, both my parents were deeply involved with the DLC. But now communists have taken over the party to me, and I live in a state that elected a governor by fraudulent means, so I'm supporting both the GOP candidate (Rossi) for governor, as well as McCain/Palin.

Hi -- new here after hearing about this forum on freerepublic.
I'm an educated conservative female, with 3 kids, and I work full time. I'm an 80's girl at heart, and for some strange reason, I think this is why SP appeals to me.
I for one am just tired of liberal feminism. I can't get OVER the hypocrisy of the left - just unbelievable.
They've been browbeating women my age to achieve, achieve, achieve -- to sacrifice family for career, to be "liberated" at all costs. Then here comes a woman who HAS achieved, yet didn't ditch the family -- and they are incensed.
I love my career -- don't get me wrong. It fulfills a need -- but its definitely NOT my reason for living. My family is central to all I am and do. I believe abortion in the last 30 years has really done a terrible trick on our nation. Follow the money is what I always say.
At any rate, I just love Sarah Palin -- I think she's going to be great. She's PERFECT for VP. Her inexperience is EXACTLY what we want -- and who says she's inexperienced anyway -- the woman is running a STATE for God's sake!!
I look forward to the tears I will cry as this WOMAN is elected as our 1st VP, and eventually our President -- the thought just gives me shivers!!

Re: hey there!!!
Hello everyone I found out about this forum from the Hillary Clinton Forum. Have been a member there almost from it's start. I was a Democrate for 38 yrs but no more. It has been hyjacked by communist. I am re-evaluating myself, so to speak but I guess it could be said that I am a Moderate Democrate that wants NOTHING to do with the obama wing nuts. I LOVE my country and will NOT vote for ANY ticket with obama on it. I will also say that I never thought that I would like republicans but have read so many heartfelt blogs on the HC forum and I find that we all have a common cause and that is to protect our way of life here in "our" beautiful America. I have learned something new about myself because of this election. I am a "country before party person" and that is from my heart. I am very excited about the McCain/Palin ticket. I feel we will be safe with them. I think we all need to work together to put things back right in our country, which includes defeating obama. He will NEVER represent me. PUMA!

HI everyone! I think we need to get a debunked thread going with a full list of all the BS lies, a quick talking point answer for each (for the talking head shows and the somewhat "deer in the headlights" people McCain has employed to be on TV) and then a full explanation for each with links etc.

Ya Gotta Love Her!
Sarah Palin is the first political figure that has excited me since Ronald Reagan in 1980. So far I have not really found even one thing I do not like about her.
I am a bitter gun owner that loves shooting & hunting so how could I not respect her!
She also does what I expect from an elected leader...CUT TAXES, CUT SPENDING, CUT PROGRAMS... CUT, CUT, CUT, CUT & THEN CUT SOME MORE!!!
GO Palin! Oh and McWhatshisname too.

You know, I'm soo glad to meet a dem who doesn't think I'm a demon, or that I hate people ... or that I have an IQ of -3....... just because I identify with a Republican philosophy!
I think we're gonna have a wonderful time here! We are gonna have to, all of us, cover Sarah Palin's back, cause some real stinky folks are out to get her.... ...
So, hey there to you, pumacali, and everyone else here. Glad to meet you.

Hello to all my fellow Palin supporters!
Found a link to the site on FR. I am a 40 something life time Republican who was not too excited about this years election until I heard Sarah for the first time. She brought tears to my eyes.
Looking forward to chatting with all of you soon.

P.U.M.A. stands for two different but related things:
Party Unity My Ass and People United Means Action. We are the disenfranchised Democrats (and some Indy and Repub supporters of Hillary Clinton) who know that, among other things, Obama stole the nomination from Hillary thru caucus rigging, cheating, strong arming, intimidation, etc. Some of us who live in caucus states (like me, in NV) experienced these irregularities firsthand.
If you're interested in hearing, seeing, reading about the atrocities, check out www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com and www.caucusanalysis.org. These sites are run by Democrats, not Republicans in disguise as many Kool-Aid besotted Dems would have you think.
There's lots of other info available, but I'm too pooped to pop with it. Another day, for sure.
In the meantime, I'm happy that moderate Repubs and moderate Dems (well, actually, after 35 years as a Dem, as of June 3rd, I'm now registered as nonpartisan) can come together with a common goal in mind: NObama! Congrats to happyfeet on the new forum!!

Re: hey there!!!
I posted the following on another thread because it applied to the conversation at the time, but I think that it also sums up who I am and what I am doing here. I apologize for anyone who has to re-read it, but I don't think I would change much if I re-wrote a proper introduction as a new member...so here I am:
I have grown so sick of politicians, pundits and media telling everyone how divided this country is. They're the reason that we're divided. I believe that partisian politics is at the root of this division. When both parties spend most of their time bashing the other side and voting strictly along party lines no matter what, nothing gets done. I'm no expert, but I don't believe that this is the way our government was intended to work. I want my government to work for the people again..not the party or the politician. Middle ground and compromise. After spending the last few weeks lurking, but unable to register on the Hillary forum, I'm so hopeful that maybe we can finally stop letting the talking heads talk for us. Let's keep talking to each other!

Hi Everyone
I am so glad that I found this forum. I am a true Independent and vote for candidate rather than Party. I was alarmed at the treatment Hillary received from the press. I am angry at the treatment of Sarah Palin by the press. I will definitely be voting the McCain/Palin ticket. I have not been this excited about a candidate in many years. You go, Sarah Palin!

Hi to everyone!
Lifelong mod republican here but I've voted democrat on the state level. I wasn't a Hillary supporter but as a woman, I was behind all her supporters' anger and frustration as this nomination was stolen from her. It is so refreshing that we can join together in one common cause - NoBlahma!
Country First.

Agreed. Just like he got into the senate - rigged things to make it easier for himself to win.
Hillary should have been the nominee. It was stolen from her, even we Republicans can see that. (and if we lose, I'd rather have lost to her!)
Uh, in Iowa, it was the same thing. In Polk County, the leaders even agreed there seemed to be some, well, irregularities but nothing was much said after a day or two. It was in the media, then simply died.

Re: hey there!!!
I can very much identify with the disenfranchised Hillary supporters. Four years ago, my candidate for Governor, Dino Rossi, lost the election to Christine Gregoire by 127 votes. He had won with the first count on election night by somewhere around 1000 votes. By the end of the last "re-count" and the discovery of "new" ballots, he lost by 127 votes. In those last 4 years, our state surplus (under another Dem governor who listened to all sides) has vanished, and we are not in the deficit. Now, Rossi is running again, and hopefully, this time "new" ballots won't pop up in Seattle again.
I have voted both parties, but probably most honestly am a conservative Republican. However, any thinking person has to know that very bad things happened in the Democrat primaries. Remember, Obama is from IL where as Daley once said, "Vote early and often". If Obama wins, we are in trouble. It will usher in a level of fraud beyond our imagination.
This election is more important than any other election in the last 20 years.
