New member here. I'm a libertarian Republican (registered as a Libertarian out of disgust at the runaway spending of the Bush admin. and R's who abandoned all principle 200-2006) who's been lurking at HillaryClintonForum.net. I wonder if any of you PUMA's can tell me why registration is disabled over there, and when it might be re-enabled. With that said, I'd like to kick things off with a history of the "Mortgage Meltdown".

The Real Scandal

It seems our friends at ACORN are at the center of this. I hope our Democratic friends from Hillary's forum might keep an open mind as they follow the money trail from 1977 and the CRA, signed into law by James Earl Carter; through 1999, when Bill Clinton browbeat Phil Gramm into injecting CRA audit score requirements into new rules governing banking (See Gramm Bliley Leach Act). There is enough blame to go around for a lot of people in both parties, especially when you look at who was running Fannie Mae and Citigroup. The long sordid history of "no documentation" loans (AKA NINJA loans, "liar loans", etc.) is full of dirt on both sides of the aisle. It's time to sweep it clean. I don't see how that will happen with BO and Dodd at the helm, given they were the two biggest recipients of cash from FNMA, as well as special deals on mortgages you and I can never seem to get.

Sorry if this steps on some toes regarding Bill, but if we are ever going to clean up the mess, we first have to acknowledge what it is.

Hi, GreenMan. ACORN has been a big player in voting fraud since its inception, but now it is the biggest cog in the BHO Chicago Machine that he thinks will help him steal this election. Typical tactics on his part.
