Merry Christmas to all.
Offended? If so, then you should also be offended at "good day", "good morning", "good evening" and "good-by" as the latter is a shortened version of "God be with you" from the early ages, the earlier are simply "have a nice day" statements.
You also should not be offended because it's simply Christians wishing you the same joy that they feel in this season. Nothing more..........
It's not a "you aren't Christian but should be one" statement, it's a "I'm happy and filled with joy this season and I wish you the same happiness in your life".
That's it.
Now that I've explained why you should not be offended:
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
From a local radio person's program:
"History was made once again as the last remaining symbol of America's Judea-Christian heritage was removed...........................
.....................
....................
........because one person was offended"
